Course Content
In this webinar we will consider what the various types of scanning available when the patient presents with a neurological injury – including CT, MRI and what to look for in these scans.
When a patient presents with a neurological deficit, changes or trauma, understanding which imaging would be useful in reaching a diagnosis is paramount. As nurses, we need to anticipate care in order to provide timely nursing interventions and so, having a basic understanding of neuroimaging options and the preparation required helps one to provide efficient nursing care.
The importance of the role of the nurse’s observations with these patients will also be discussed.
