Course Content
The National Hand Hygiene Initiative (NHHI) is based on the World Health Organisation (WHO) – recommendations for Hand Hygiene in Healthcare. Hand hygiene is critical in reducing the incidence of infections. in our clients and patients.
Hand Hygiene Australia is funded by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care and this session is based on the Hand Hygiene Australia Manual.
Remember that Hand Hygiene is a key component of Aseptic Technique and relates to The NSQHS Standards, specifically the Preventing and Controlling Healthcare-Associated Infection Standard.
