“Define Clinical Supervision in the context of Australian nursing and midwifery practice”

Course Content

In 2019, a joint position statement from the Australian College of Nursing, the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses and the Australian College of Midwives recommended Clinical Supervision for all nurses and midwives irrespective of their specific role, area of practice and years of experience.

Since that time much work has been done to ensure more nurses have access to Clinical Supervision. Many people have worked to raise the profile of Clinical Supervision in the way of research, education and advocacy. It is an exciting space to be in with much more to evolve.

As it stands, many nurses and midwives remain unsure of what Clinical Supervision is; why they need it and how they can access it.  The presenter draws on her experiences as a nurse, midwife and clinical supervisor and invites you on a journey of Clinical Supervision discovery. Uncover the magic of Clinical Supervision.
