Course Content
In this presentation, we will discuss key things to consider when preparing your practice to support routine and emergency management for people living with diabetes or who are at risk of developing diabetes.
Learning Outcomes
In this session you will:
- Increase knowledge about the different types of diabetes, risk factors for diabetes and identifying at-risk patients in general practice
- Have a greater understanding of the diabetes cycle of care and the role of the nurse in providing care and support for people living with diabetes
- Increase your confidence in preparing for, identifying and managing diabetes emergencies in general practice/primary care
- Know where to access additional information to support you and your patients with diabetes
