In this webinar, I invite you to journey with me through my thirty years plus as a psychiatric nurse. From my student days training in an asylum in Glasgow Scotland to current times as Director of my own business.
We will explore some of the significant changes that have happened in mental health over the past thirty years, hopes that have not been fulfilled and ways forward for the future. How can we as nurses created a kinder, more compassionate and effective mental health service for all concerned?

In this session you will:
- Understand my journey as a psychiatric nurse and discuss changes I have experienced in mental health between the 1980s and 2020
- Explore hopes and dreams for a better mental health system
- Examine what acts as barriers to change in the delivery of mental health services
- Identify the roles for all nurses to ensure a more effective mental health experience for all individuals
