“Gain an understanding of the impact of pressure injuries on the person, carers and the delivery of care”
Course Content
This webinar focuses on Pressure injuries prevention, identification and management. Literature suggests that at least 80% of pressure injuries are preventable and unfortunately we often see that this wound type is thought to be as a result of poor quality of care. We are only too aware of the ongoing requirements for reporting and documentation associated with Pressure injuries whether you work in acute or primary health care.
Prevention is essential to minimise risk for development of pressure injuries and is an integral part of the assessment process. This webinar explores the assessment process starting with the skin and risk factors. We will then explore the identification and classification system and finally managing these chronic wounds to ensure best outcomes.
