“How the law determines what is & where a duty of care lies”
Course Content
Nurses recognise and accept we have a duty of care. The term is often used to identify perceived failures and skill deficits but there are risks to claiming a colleague has failed their duty.
Knowing how the law determines what is and where a duty of care lies and the common failures that have led to cases claiming negligence due to a failure to satisfy our duty helps us analyse situations and take steps that will ensure that our duty is fulfilled.
