Incontinence of urine can be a very socially disabling condition. There can also be physical, psychological and financial ramifications.
Incontinence is a symptom of an underlying condition, it is not a disease itself. There is always a cause for the problem.
Assessment of incontinence is the first step in providing care for a person suffering from incontinence.

- List the essential components of an assessment
