This webinar focuses on the concept of Wound Cleansing and Wound Hygiene.
Wound cleansing is an integral part of wound management and more than a dressing change ritual. The webinar looks at wound cleansing in hard to heal wounds and introduces the emerging concept of Wound Hygiene.

In this session you will:
- Gain an understanding of wound cleansing and an overview of ways to cleanse wounds including different wound cleansing solutions
- Gain an understanding of the concept of Biofilms and hard to heal wounds
- Explore the concept of Wound Hygiene
- Consider wound cleansing and wound hygiene in the management of hard to heal wounds

Louise has over 20 years’ experience in wound management and has worked across a number of public hospitals and Community Nurse Settings both in Australia and overseas.
She completed her Master of Nursing Science with QUT & became an endorsed Nurse Practitioner in 2014 and currently runs her own private practice in Skin Integrity & Wound Management.
