This session reviews the current diagnosis and management options for neuropathic pain.

Course Content

Nurses understand the impact of chronic pain on patients, their lifestyle and their families. The current definition of neuropathic pain used by the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) is ‘pain caused by a lesion or disease of the somatosensory system’. This session reviews current diagnosis and treatment options in Australia.
