Presenter Gordon Lonie

Gordon trained at the Tayside College of Nursing and Midwifery, Ninewells Hospital & Medical School, Dundee, Scotland. I graduated as a Registered General Nurse in June 1991.

He relocated to Australia in February 1996 and was immediately employed at the Gold Coast Hospital (GCH) Southport where he was employed for 11 years and worked across many specialties including Wound Management, A&E, General, Plastics, ENT, Maxillofacial, Gynae and Urology Surgery.

In January 2007, Gordon was offered the position of Clinical Nurse Consultant for ENT/Plastics/Maxillofacial/Burns at the Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH), Brisbane and after nearly 5 years in 2011 moved back to Gold Coast University Hospital as the CNC for plastic & reconstructive surgery and wound care.

Gordon has completed his Master of Nurse Practitioner for Plastics and Reconstructive, Maxillofacial and Head & Neck Surgery in 2014. Now with over 28 years Nursing experience Gordon has his own private practice as an NP specializing in Aesthetic/Cosmetic procedures and a wee bit of wound management on the Gold Coast, Queensland.

Course Content

In this session, the use of Botox and Fillers will be discussed. The clinical indications for use will be explored, the current method for application will be reviewed and the safety and post care requirements for the patient will be highlighted.
