Kay has worked for over 40 years as a nurse, educator and speaker and is an expert in education, training, presenting and online course development in a number of areas including Leadership, Nurses’ Health & Wellness, Burnout, Communication, Presentation Skills and Chronic Disease Prevention and Management.

Kay is a registered nurse and has a Master of Education, Diploma in Life Coaching and Counselling, CDSM (Chronic Disease Self-Management) and Chronic Disease Prevention. She has worked as nurse in ICU, Paediatrics, Women’s Health and Palliative Care. Additionally, Kay has a long career as an Educator in the US and Australia, including Academic roles in Universities and Colleges. Her presentations are always well-received, and she loves nothing more than sharing her knowledge and expertise to audiences, Nationally and Internationally.

Course Content

A recent survey shows that nurses are not looking after themselves and many describe their health as “poor or just OK”.

In this presentation, Kay talks about why nurses are notoriously bad at caring for themselves and what we need to do to change this alarming trend!
