Presenter Mel Antonel, Clinical Pharmacist - Renal

Mel has been working as a pharmacist since 2007 after graduating from James Cook University. She has worked in multiple settings and locations between hospital and community pharmacy. 

Currently, Mel works as a clinical pharmacist on the Renal Ward at the Townsville Hospital.

She enjoys working in the high paced clinical environment with complex patients and a great multidisciplinary team.

Course Content

In this webinar you revisit how the kidneys regulate or effect blood pressure before exploring all the different classes of blood pressure medications including which ones can be used in renally impaired patients.  We will also consider the side effects and how can these be managed.
