Presenter Sandra Ilett - Community Nurse Service

Sandra Ilett, RN RM BaHlthSc (Child Health) Grad Cert (Continence)

Sandra Ilett is a Registered Nurse and Midwife and for the past 20 years has worked as a Continence Nurse. She also has a Bachelor of Health (Child Health) and a Graduate Certificate (Continence).

Sandra works in private practice as a sole provider in a home visit service within a 100km radius of where she lives near Childers. This continence care is provided to clients of any age through the lifespan.

Sandra also works one day per week as a Practice Nurse for Childers Family Medicine.

Course Content

Urinary catheterisation is a commonly used medical management strategy for many illnesses, injuries and diseases. Catheterisation of the bladder may be temporary, permanent or intermittent with many problems associated with permanent catheterisation.

In this webinar, you will review best practice for male and female catherterisation along with education and support of the patient/client and their carers will help to manage the issues that are commonly encountered.
